horses are my passion & training has always been my goal

I grew up in Limerick, Ireland, on my family’s farm and from a young age I became very passionate about horses. I started my career as a successful jockey until I unfortunately suffered a serious injury in 2013. After a lengthy 2 year recovery, I made a shock return to the saddle for a short period. I then firmly fixed my focus and drive on working towards my goal of becoming a trainer. For the past 10 years I have been committed to exactly this, further refining my horsemanship skills and knowledge. I have been lucky to work with and learn from some of the best. Now with extensive experience and filled with an ever increasing passion and determination, I received my licence to train from Bowstridge Farm in October 2023. I am enthused and eager for the developments to come at Toomey Racing.
